We journey to Venice to hear Vivaldi’s immortal work, The Four Seasons, brilliantly rendered for virtuoso violin; here, a showcase for Associate Concertmaster Helen Kim. In a musical first, Vivaldi captured all the characteristic moments of each season — slippery ice, spring thaws, summer storms and glorious autumnal fruit. We stay with Vivaldi for his Gloria, adding more jubilation to the occasion with the Seattle Symphony Chorale.
