Santa Fe Symphony Concertmaster David Felberg performs Jennifer Higdon’s 2010 Pulitzer Prize-winning Concerto for Violin in its Santa Fe debut. The program opens with Starburst for String Orchestra by Jessie Montgomery and concludes with a performance of Beethoven’s anthem to freedom and liberty—Symphony No. 3 in E-Flat Major, “Eroica”—and its retracted dedication to Napoleon, once the French had occupied the composer’s native Vienna.
