Carmina Burana: An Epic Springtime Celebration
Details
Ancient. Powerful. Epic. Experience it all together, only at The ACT.
Inspired by a long-buried Medieval manuscript revealing a 11th-century trove of texts on love, lust and the ‘free life’ espoused by Europe’s boisterous roaming Goliards, 20th-century composer Carl Off created an epic musical masterpiece.
Carmina Burana (translates from “Songs of Beuern”, from the Bavarian Monastery where the manuscript was discovered) creates a world unto itself.
This performance unites the brilliant choreography of Ballet Victoria, over 100 powerful voices of the Vancouver Bach Choirs and a thunderous percussion orchestra of multiple instruments including dual grand pianos in a once- in-a-lifetime exuberant burst of springtime.
Experience the truly epic.
