It’s the future and we’ve solved all the world’s problems, with just one catch: humans have to end life at 50 and teenage artists have to document it. It’s Kiah’s first day on the job.
Can I Get a Witness?” is a nod to the Marvin Gaye and that song’s gospel roots. It’s very much about the spiritual concept of witnessing. “Does anybody see this? Does anybody hear what I’m saying here? Does anybody share my beliefs?” It’s an affirmation. But it is also about witnessing each other’s lives. Witnessing what is happening here, on this planet. Speaking our truth, from our own perspectives.
