Details

The eclectic, acoustic-oriented sounds of Pink Martini have never been easy to categorize, but that hasn’t stopped the Portland, Oregon-based band from acquiring a loyal and enthusiastic cult following. Pink Martini has offered a risk-taking blend of jazz, world music, cabaret, lounge, and mid-century film music, with influences ranging from Cole Porter and Duke Ellington to French icon Edith Piaf to Latin greats such as Tito Puente.

Featuring a dozen musicians and songs in twenty-five languages, Pink Martini performs on concert stages across six continents. After making its European debut at the Cannes Film Festival in 1997 and its orchestral debut with the Oregon Symphony in 1998, the band has gone on to play with more than fifty orchestras around the world, including multiple engagements with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Boston Pops, the National Symphony at the Kennedy Center, the San Francisco Symphony, and the BBC Concert Orchestra at Royal Albert Hall in London.
