South Delta Baptist Church was established in 1959, originally meeting in a small building on 11A Street. As the congregation expanded, the current church building was constructed and opened in 1988. Architecturally, the church is known for its excellent acoustics and a spacious auditorium that seats around 1,200 people, making it a popular venue for classical music performances.
