Christ Church Cathedral, located in downtown Vancouver, is a historic Gothic-style church that serves as the cathedral for the Diocese of New Westminster. Originally consecrated in 1895, it features a stunning cedar-planked ceiling and old-growth Douglas fir floors. The cathedral became a heritage building in the 1970s to preserve its architectural significance. In 2016, it added a bell tower, marking a significant addition to the skyline with four bells that ring daily. Christ Church Cathedral also holds cultural significance as the regimental church for the Seaforth Highlanders and hosts significant events, including royal visits. Open to the public, it offers various services and events throughout the week.
